Educational Goal: Inform participants about treatments for post operative pain management

Educational Objectives: At the conclusion of this program, the participant should be able to:

  1. Discuss the overall importance of pain control in the overall care of the patient.

  2. Review past pain management treatments and strategies including the effectiveness of these.

  3. Discuss any new or proposed pain treatment therapies.

RSVP   The meal and CE program is free for all members of AASHP.  Non-members may join at the door for $25 (pharmacists and pharmacy technicians) or $15 for pharmacist students and pharmacy technician students. Attendees who are not also members of TSHP must pay a $10 processing fee to receive a statement of attendance from TSHP.

Target audience: pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This program (156-999-06-132-L01) provides 1.0 contact hour (0.10 CEUs) of continuing pharmaceutical education. To receive a Statement of Participation, a program evaluation form must be completed and turned in at the end of the program. A $10 processing fee must be paid by non-TSHP members to receive a Statement of Attendance from TSHP.
