  Integrating Recent Evidence”

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this program, participants should
be able to:

  • Discuss the erythropoietic stimulating proteins
    (ESPs) recent clinical evidence focusing on
    extended-dosing intervals in chemotherapyinduced
    anemia (CIA).

  • Identify other conditions where ESPs are utilized
    for the management of anemia.

  • Review key concepts for granulocyte colony
    stimulating factors (G-CSFs) in the prevention of
    chemotherapy-induced neutropenia (CIN).

  • Describe pharmacist-initiated programs for anemia
    and febrile neutropenia (FN) prevention.

  • Assess the impact of long-acting growth factor
    utilization on clinic practices, patients and
    caregivers.

Target audience: pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
University Pharmacotherapy Associates, LLC is accredited by the
Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a
provider of continuing pharmacy education and complies with the
Criteria for Quality for continuing pharmacy education
programming. This program provides 1.0 hour (0.1 CEU) of
continuing pharmacy education credit (ACPE UPN 786-000-07-001-
L01). Upon attendance at the entire program and completion of the
appropriate forms, statements of continuing pharmacy education
credit will be mailed within 45 days of completion of the program.
