Decherd Auditorium is on the 2nd Floor. It's best to enter via the South or the North Entrance. Take glass elevator just inside the entrance to the second floor. Entrance is before the Atrium.

Learning Objectives (Pharmacy)

At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

  1. Discuss the new Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations governing sterile compounding; 
  2. Describe changes in the rules between the current and newly adopted regulations;
  3. List what changes will be necessary in their practice sites to comply with the new requirements.

Learning Objectives (Pharmacy Technicians)

At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

  1. List the changes in the rules governing sterile compounding;  
  2. Appreciate their role in carrying out sterile compounding within Texas Health-System facilities;
  3. Discuss what changes they will be incorporating into health-system practice to implement the new regulations.

Target audience: pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This program (TBD) provides 1.0 contact hour (0.10 CEUs) of continuing pharmaceutical education. To receive a Statement of Participation, a program evaluation form must be completed and turned in at the end of the program. A $10 processing fee must be paid by non-TSHP members to receive a Statement of Attendance from TSHP.
