Educational Objectives:

At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

  1. Identify the obstacles that exist as barriers to glycemic control in the hospital setting; 
  2. Review the evidence that tighter glycemic control in the hospital setting results in improved outcomes;
  3. Identify strategies in achieving target glucose control in the hospital setting.

Target audience: pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This program (156-999-08-077-L01-P) provides 1.0 contact hour (0.10 CEUs) of continuing pharmaceutical education. To receive a Statement of Participation, a program evaluation form must be completed and turned in at the end of the program.
