Volunteer Opportunities

Many of you enjoy volunteering at the Volunteer Clinic throughout the year and we want you to continue to help staff the Volunteer Clinic in Austin, especially in our AASHP designated months. There is an additional opportunity to staff the Sacred Heart clinic in Round Rock. If you are interested, please visit www.sacredheartclinic.org for more information and to volunteer.

If you are interested in serving in an appointed position within a state-wide committee in your area expertise, please let me know as these opportunities often come up between our regular business meetings.

AASHP office of President Elect is open. Please contact any AASHP officer with questions or to volunteer.

AASHP office of Treasurer is open. Please contact any AASHP officer or Valerie Bandy, our current Treasurer, with questions or to volunteer. A bit thank you goes out to Valerie Bandy from all of us within AASHP for serving AASHP in one role or another for at least the past 5 years (President-elect, President, Immediate Past-President, Treasurer, etc, etc).

Our October 1, 2011 Fall Seminar was a success. A big Thank You goes out to the participants, especially those that added insightful questions and comments, our vendors, and all of the many volunteers, including ALL of our speakers that made it happen.

Our January 2012 meeting will feature Alan Combs, PhD, telling us about "Current Topics in Toxicology for Pharmacists”. Date and place to be announced.

Please send in your suggestions on how to improve our organization, how you’d like to participate and what CE topics you’d like to see over the next year. This is your organization. You make it happen.
