Happy Holidays! from your AASHP Officers

Since our November meeting, two volunteers have stepped forward for Treasurer and President-elect. We'll introduce them at the January meeting and get your vote of approval. If you'd like to volunteer for an office or get more involved by helping on a committee, please let us know of your interest. Watch your email box for a survey to help us plan future AASHP events and improve our organization.

If you'd like to volunteer for the Volunteer Clinic, please contact Amanda Kelley, our Director-at-Large, at a.kelley@aashp.net (details are also on our home page). Another pharmacy volunteer opportunity is at www.sacredheartclinic.org  located in Round Rock.

UTSSHP is looking for pharmacist preceptors to help out with projects throughout the year for Project Collaborate, which was explained to me by Anne Nguyen like this:

 "The COP student organizations hold free health screenings (blood cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, & BMI) for the Austin communities year round. We are always in need of preceptors to precept students during the events and answer any potential difficult patient care questions. What is the time requirement? For logistics/planning purpose, at least 2 hours would be appreciated but it can be as long as you want to contribute. It is a great opportunity to be involved in the community and get to know the students. If interested, please contact Anne Nguyen (Pharmacy Council Vice President) at phuocanguyen@mail.utexas.edu. Thank you for your time and look forward to hear from you. "
