TSHP Call for Volunteers 2011-2012
TSHP is seeking volunteers to serve on Councils & Committees.
TSHP
President-Elect Randy Ball
is beginning consideration of appointments to
2011-2012 TSHP Councils and Section Executive Committees. Randy is particularly interested in appointing
one individual from each local TSHP Chapter
to serve on each Council. There may be additional appointees, but
at least one member from each local is our initial target. We also like to
appoint one or more students and a technician (at least) to each council.
The Councils and Section Executive Committees meet by toll-free conference
call, usually 3 or 4 times during the organizational year. It may be more
(in the case of Public Affairs or Educational Affairs, which oversees the
Annual Seminar), or less, depending on the business before the group.
Calls usually last 1 hour and are scheduled during the workday; often
around the noon hour, but subject to the Chair and council members’
wishes.
In order to be considered for appointment to a Council or Section
executive committee, please complete an online sign-up form and include
your 1st and 2nd choices. We make every effort to assign all volunteers,
but there are limited positions available.
To indicate your interest, go to the TSHP Website (www.tshp.org),
and click on “Volunteer to Serve on Council or Committee” under “About Us)
(login not required), or

good to begin identifying potential nominees at your next meeting.
